Shipping & duties
How pieces travel, what it costs, and what happens when an order crosses a border.

How pieces are sent
Every order goes by ⟨ carrier ⟩ on a tracked, insured, signature-required service. Nothing is left unattended, and nothing travels without cover for its full value.
You receive tracking by email at dispatch. Someone must be present to sign — if you would rather it went to a business address or a specific day, tell us when you order and we will arrange it.
Within the European Union
- Delivery is complimentary and insured on every order.
- Prices shown at checkout include VAT. Nothing further is payable on arrival.
- Typical transit is two to four working days once dispatched.
Outside the European Union
Duties and import taxes are calculated and collected at checkout, so the total you pay is the total you owe. Your parcel is shipped delivered-duty-paid and will not be held for payment on arrival.
This matters more than it sounds. On a piece at this value, an uncollected import charge can run to several hundred euro and, unpaid, sees the parcel returned. We would rather quote you the whole number once.
- Duty and import tax are shown as separate lines at checkout before you pay.
- Where a destination's rules make collection at checkout impossible, we say so at checkout rather than letting you discover it on the doorstep.
- Transit outside the EU is typically three to seven working days, plus any time in customs, which we cannot control.
If a parcel is refused or undeliverable
Where a parcel is returned because delivery was refused, nobody was available across repeated attempts, or the address was incorrect, we refund the price of the goods less the outbound and return carriage actually incurred, and less any duty that cannot be reclaimed.
This does not affect your right of withdrawal, which carries a full refund of the goods and standard outbound delivery.
Loss or damage in transit
Risk passes to you on delivery, so anything that happens in transit is ours to resolve. If a parcel arrives damaged, photograph the outer packaging before opening it where you can, and write to ⟨ contact email ⟩ within seven days. We will replace the piece or refund you in full, and we handle the carrier claim ourselves.
Dispatch times
Pieces in stock leave within two working days. Where something is being finished to order we tell you the date before you pay, and again at confirmation. If that date moves, you hear it from us rather than from the tracking.
